Congratulations to Bill Freeman — Our Newly Minted Gate Legend of Court 5
Congratulations to Bill Freeman — Our Newly Minted Gate Legend of Court 5 - Today we celebrated something long overdue — Bill Freeman finally got his name on something. And not just anything… the brand‑new gate plaque on Court 5, a tribute to his years of campaigning (relentlessly, passionately, and hilariously) for gates that would save us all from chasing runaway tennis balls. Bill, your persistence has officially paid off. Your name now stands proudly on the very gate you’ve been asking for, dreaming about, and probably muttering about under your breath for years. It’s your name to fame, your legacy in metal, your moment in tennis history. And honestly — we couldn’t imagine a more fitting honor. Congratulations, Bill. You earned this one.
