Bernhard Jacob Burg, 93, of Ocala Florida passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, in Burlington, Vermont. Born to Margarete and Nikolaus in the vineyard town of Reil, along the Mosel River, in 1931. Bernhard grew up simple. Raised Roman Catholic and infused with the ethics of honesty, compassion, hard work, and selflessness. He was an altar boy, a choir boy, a student, hard working son, and a protector to his three younger brothers, Hellmut, Albert, & Otto.
Avelino Bolumen's (known as Bill to most family & friends) faith was made sight on April 21, 2026 at age 78. Bill was born to Julieta & Avelino Bolumen in Artemisa, Cuba on October 23, 1947. He & his sister, Julie, came to Florida at the age of 15. He graduated from Univ. of Florida & 2 weeks later married his best friend & love of his life-Maria. They met in college 1.5 years earlier. Bill & Maria moved to Ohio as he worked as a chemical engineer for 43 years at the same company. They had 1 son-Mark & 1 daughter-Lisa who he was a fabulous dad to both! Bill had 4 grandkids-Rachel, Jocelyn, Caleb, and Tyler who he had fun playing with and taking vacations together. He had many fond memories with his cousins, nieces, nephews, sister in law & brother in law. He enjoyed being with his family, friends, traveling, working outside, tennis, pickleball, dancing, playing cards, and laughing. We will miss him as a husband, dad, papa, friend, and relative exceedingly and look forward to being reunited in heaven!
